Woman Takes Fatal Leap From Burlington Bristol Bridge Into Delaware River

A woman jumped to her death from the Burlington Bristol bridge Sunday, LevittownNow reports.

The woman reportedly jumped from the bridge deck into the Delaware River around 10:30 a.m., authorities told the outlet.

Search teams sent a boat into the river to recover the victim from the water, the outlet reports.

The bridge, which connects Bucks County to New Jersey, was reopened around 11:10 a.m. authorities told the outlet. 

The America Hose, Hook and Ladder, Cornwells, Croydon, and Union fire companies responded along with the Bucks County Rescue Squad and New Jersey emergency crews.
